Meet Chloe:

Chloe has been with the MODISTE team since 2021 and quickly proved herself to be indispensable. She’s effortlessly stylish and witty and willingly takes on any hat necessary to help MODISTE grow. TikTok content? That’s Chloe. E-Commerce copywriting? Also Chloe. Instagram stories? That’s Chloe, too. Photoshoot styling? Definitely either Chloe or Jami-lyn, depending on the day. They’re a duo you’ll be seeing a lot of for years to come.

How do you start each morning?

I start every morning at 6 a.m. when my cat, Salem, wakes me up to feed him. I hop into the shower after I feed Salem. I take a long time to get ready, so I like to give myself as much time as possible before I have to leave the house. I’ll normally drink a coffee, or two, and watch whatever show I'm binging at the time or listen to a podcast while I do my makeup and hair for the day.

How would you describe your personal style?

My style is a sort of rotation and combination of parisian, a bit trendy, and minimalistic. I mainly focus on what I think I look best in and feel the most comfortable in. Comfortability is a huge piece of fashion for me because if I’m not comfortable, I don’t look or feel confident. Confidence is everything when it comes to looking good!

What advice would you give someone struggling to find their style?

I think the easiest way to find your style is to try a bit of everything! Go to stores and try on different outfits and styles you may be interested in. Pinterest is also an amazing tool when it comes to finding inspiration for your own personal style. At the end of the day, wear what feels best to you, the most important thing is that you like what you are wearing!

Who are some of your favorite designers or brands? Why do you gravitate towards them?

This question is tough for me because I honestly love so many different designers for so many different reasons. I find myself being drawn to Acne Studios quite often, their pieces have unique details that make an otherwise basic piece stand out. You can still style these items with anything, just like a basic, but they aren’t your everyday basics. I also love The Garment , Marni, and AMI Paris.

What is your favorite trend right now you can’t get enough of?

I’m currently loving the sheer trend that’s been going on. I think it’s such a fun and unique way to make an item a statement piece. You also have a ton of creative liberty when working with sheer items which is something that always excites me. 

What is a piece in your closet you think everyone should own?

An amazing pair of sneakers! I am a huge advocate of wearing sneakers all the time and finding the right pair that can be styled with your favorite outfits is a lifesaver. I, personally, love the Adidas Samba in any of the many colorways they come in and the Veja Esplar. 

What is your favorite thing in your closet?

I think I’d have to say my Rosetta Getty Cross Back Slip Dress. It’s easy to style and can be dressed up or down no matter what season. I love adding a sweater and boots to the dress in the winter for a comfy, warm, and stylish look. In the summer it’s perfect with a simple pair of sneakers for a laid back and cool (literally) look.

What is something sitting in your cart that you’re waiting to pull the trigger on?

I will admit I’ve got quite a few tabs open all of which contain very full shopping carts, but I think the winner goes to the Paola Floral Slip Dress by Rat&Boa. I found it a couple of months ago on Pinterest and fell in love instantly. It feels light and dainty, but at the same time mysterious and sexy, which is what really pulls me in and makes me adore it as much as I do.

Go-to lip product?

 
I’m not a huge lipstick girl, but the Charlotte Tilbury PillowTalk Lipstick Balm is a must-have for me! I opt for the Lipstick Balm because it doesn’t settle into the lines of your lips. I am also a huge fan of the Laneige Lip Glowy Balm and Lip Sleeping Mask for hydration.

What is a style tip or hack you can share with us?

I think a good jewelry stack helps elevate your style and make your outfits look more effortless. Investing in quality jewelry and making your everyday stack a staple piece of your “look” is an often overlooked part of establishing your style. 

Tell us one fun fact about yourself that people might not know about you.

I can predict the ending to pretty much any mystery/crime movie, tv show, and book. It’s a blessing and a curse and often lands me in trouble with others when I voice my prediction and end up being right. I also love spoilers and will shamelessly look up endings to popular shows that I haven’t gotten around to watching yet.

Who is your style icon?

I’d say Hailey Bieber is my style icon. From the red carpet to the streets of LA, I always love her looks and would say her style is one I identify with quite a bit. She always seems to be wearing something that I find myself wanting once I see a picture of her wearing it.

My current favorite song is Woof by Sen Morimoto! Honorable mention to my second favorite, Speed Drive by Charli XCX.

Lastly, what is your favorite piece on MODISTE’s website at the moment?

This is a tough one! I think I’d have to say the Ruffle Strap Dress by Acne Studios, the Stevie 42 Black Smooth Leather Boots by By Far, and the Vintage Ballet Tee by MODISTE. I know that’s three pieces, but like I said, this is a tough one.
