With an impressive background and experience spanning from Dior to Givenchy to Marc Jacobs, Alexandre Mattiussi went out on his own to launch his label in 2011. French for “friend,” Ami Paris was created as a way for Mattiussi to design stylish clothing for those in his inner circle — his closest companions, or ‘amis.’ Not only that, but the pieces he created are intended to be worn ‘for real life.’ As the name indicates, Ami Paris takes a friendly, laid-back approach to fashion, blurring the lines between casual and chic [hello, oversized sweaters + tailored jackets] and captures the sense of authentic French style that is both aspirational and obtainable.
