Created by Rushemy Botter and his partner Lisi Herrebrugh, Botter hopes to help bring back life to the coral reef. Rushemy Botter and Lisi Herrebrugh are the previous artistic directors of Nina Ricci and left in early 2022 after three and a half years with the fashion house. They are now focusing on the brand they created together. The brand is built around sustainability and uses “Caribbean Couture” to describe its identity. Their menswear is beautiful, fun, creative, and ethical. Botter manufactures in Europe to ensure that any waste created is required by law to be recycled properly. The brand makes up 80% of its collections with waste plastic materials collected during beach cleanups and 20% with biodegradable materials like cotton and wool. They then donate a percentage of the money made from sales back to the Coral Farm they launched in 2020 to fight coral reef bleaching. The brand brings something fresh to the world of fashion and creates beautiful pieces that the customer can feel proud of owning.
